Drum Roll Please....

So... After all the votes were in, I went to MyHeritage.com and found a Look-alike meter to determine who he most resembles. and the meter said he looked more like Josh by 8%. I then did it with all the kids and yes they all look more like him then they do me except Beck. Go figure. Now if you want some laughs you can go to this same website and click on the face recognition link at the top. You can also upload your own face and it will tell you what celebrities you most look like. So I started with myself and it said I most looked like Jessica Beil. Not bad I thought. Then I tried Josh.....FUNNY....OHH so FUNNY...... Picture this I am at home all by myself. The kids are all asleep. The house is quiet. Josh is out of town. I upload his picture and is says he looks most like Jon Balushi. I laughed out loud for like ten minutes. It really was so funny. However, I do not think Josh looks like him. I think it was just the picture I used. But funny all the same. Oh so Funny.....Enjoy! Let me know who you most look like.

Who do you think Hogan looks like?

People always aproach me in stores and have some crazy comment to make about my children. It always baffles me because people say the stupidest stuff sometimes. Elisabeth didn't leave the house without a bow and she always wore pink glasses as a baby and people would always call her a boy. Stupid! They constantly ask me which ones are twins. Then they want to touch them to prevent them from getting "oho". For the most part I really don't care but their have been a few comments I could like without. People always have to comment on who looks like who, etc... So, the point of my post today. I am constantly hearing people say Hogan looks just like you or boy he looks just like his daddy. I really have heard both a lot ...?So what to you think. Does he look like me? or does he look like Josh?

The Many Faces of Beck Garmin....

Beck is such a funny kid. He is always playing his part. For those of you who don't know the fourth child is usually known as the entertainer or so they say. I am not a psychologist but thats what all the studies say. Anyway, Beck definately fits the part. He is always trying to make the rest of us laugh. He is quite good at it. During this series of pictures I was trying to get him to smile for the camera. However, he made every face except smile until he was good and ready.

Picture Perfect

A friend of ours who is a photographer took some fantastic pictures of our family at the beach. He did a really great job so I thought I'd share. He was able to capture God's perfect world just so perfectly.

Row, Row, Row your Boat

Josh took the boys to the boat show this afternoon. They all loved it. Josh's favorite thing to tell me is "When I get my boat....." or if you ask him what he wants for Christmas or his birthday he always says "a boat" Sometimes he will send me a text message or an email that has a picture of a boat he saw that day and it will say something like "can I buy this?" then he will send me links to ebay of boats he has found for sale. He really wants one! Maybe one of these days his ship will come in.....literally. In the mean time, he will have to dream.
The boys got to tour one of the big coast gaurd boats.

They watched all the big sail boats.

Josh thinks he needs this boat because it has three motors, one for each boy.

Happy Birthday Benjamin!

Today is Benjamin's birthday. I can't believe he is already one. For those of you who don't know, Benjamin is my sister's little baby. After struggling with fertility and adopting a little girl, she became pregnant with a little miracle baby that doctors thought she would never have. God is so good. And his plan for my sister's family is now so clear. I love to see his plans unfold just so perfectly. Thank you God for sweet little Benjamin!

The Endocrinologist

Today I took sweet Gates to the Endocrinologist. It looks like everything is pretty normal. The pediatrician had measured him in her office and thought he was way below the average for his age. However, when the endo measured him with her much more accurate device she found that he was in the 10th percentile which is not as bad as we had thought. So....she does still want to see him back in six months and she did want me to have a couple more tests run to rule out a couple of things that she thought were unlikely. She used an x-ray of his hand and some calculations based on Josh and I's heights and found that he will be around 5'9". Which is how tall Josh is. So....needless to say. It was pretty uneventful and we feel very comfortable with this diagnosis. Thank you Lord for good news today and for the sweetest, funiest little boy I have ever met.

eLiSabEths NeW bEDdiNg......

Elisabeth has had the same bedding for about 5 years. Last year we bought her all new bedroom furniture and intended on buying bedding then. However, I couldn't find anything that I just loved and then we got busy etc... so a couple of weeks ago, I pulled together some stuff that I like and now I love it. It's a little this and a little of that but now no one will have the same as her. I am so excited. Her room is finally complete. :)

Simple Math

This little face PLUS.......

This cute little birthday cake EQUALS.......

This messy face. And yes the icing is all the way up his nose.

Some more math: Tuesday in the car on the way home from school I took our radio station off of KLOVE because I was tired of listening to them do the pledges for money. I put it on a local country radio station. The song "I'm in a Hurry to Get Things Done, I rush and rush until lifes no fun...."came on. I immediately begin to sing along. Elisabeth asks "How do you know this song?" Me: "I used to love this song in high school" Silence for about 20 seconds Elisabeth: "This song must be really old, Mommy" She must think I'm really old! So Sad. :)

Beauty and the Beach

On Sunday, we went to the beach to take some pics. These are some of the ones I took. However, we had a profesional there who probably got some better ones. I just thought the sun set in some of these were awesome!!! and of course the kids are just so precious. I am a little prejudice. Gods world is so beautiful!!!!

Elisabeth and her OCD

Elisabeth is my oldest child and some what of a perfectionist. She is constantly cleaning things and line up things and organizing things. Most of the time they are very practical things to do. She gets it from my mom because I am a little piggy. Anyway, today I let Elisabeth get a new notebook from Target but I told her that she had to pay me back. So when we got home I told her to get me $2.50. She brings me her piggy bank and proceeds to pull ziploc bags out of the silver dollar sized hole in the bottom. At first I was confused and did not understand why there would be ziplocs in her piggy bank. Then she told me that she organized all her money into ziploc bags. There were quarters in one, dimes in one, nickles in one, pennies in one, dollars in one and of coarse chuck e cheese tokens in one. This cracked me up. I will say it was very easy for her to count out the money she owed me.

Laughter is the Best Medicine...

This morning was a bit cool out. So....I thought I would put on yoga pants instead of shorts to take Elisabeth to school. For those of you who don't know, yoga pants are usually black and are tight kind of stretch pants that are cropped (meaning they are short). So... I have on my yoga pants and my AFCO T-shirt (love that t-shirt, it is so soft and so comfy because it like me is so old). I am in the bathroom fixing Elisabeth's hair for school and I here Hogan say "mom!!!" in a not so nice frustrated with me voice. I couldn't not figure out what I had done but in was something not good. I answer "what". And he says "Are you wearing my baseball pants to take Sissy to school?" For those of you who don't know Hogan is on the Red Raiders baseball team and he wears a red shirt and black baseball pants (which are short and kind of fitted much like my yago pants) "NO Hogan your pants would not fit me" I reply. and he says "well they look like they're my pants". and he never says another word. I am still not sure if he believed me but he obviously didn't care anymore. Needless to say I had a good laugh because I would look so rediculous in Hogan's baseball pants.

Outside Fun

My kids love to play outside. Especially this time of year when it is not too hot and the mosquitos have not come out too much. Anyway, thought those of you who don't see us very often would enjoy seeing the kids. PS. Beck has had dry underwear for four days yeah!!!! and he pooped in the potty today on his own. No more diapers for the Leftwiches. I guess that means it's time for one more. lol
